How much DIY skill do I need to put up my sign with the Fixings Kit? The Fixings Kit Installation Instructions show 5 methods of installation. Whichever option you follow, you'll need to fix the sign to your post (using the side plate) with a crosshead screwdriver (Alternatively for T boards, screw the board directly to your post). Then, to take each option in turn: 1 Strapping your sign post to a fence/gate upright with nylon ties (included). Very easy - just loop the ties round the post and upright. 2 Screwing your sign post to a fence/gate upright with 2 screws (included). Easy - drill 2 holes in your post with a 6mm drill. Then screw the screws through the post and into the fence/gate upright. 3 Fixing your post to a stake in the ground. Easy - just fix your post to the stake with 2 screws (included), then knock your stake into the ground. 4 Screwing your sign post to a wall using the masonry screw bolts (included). Moderate - you'll need a hammer drill to make 2 small fixing holes in the wall, and then you'll need to use an adjustable spanner to tighten the bolts. 5 As 4, this time with a post the same height as the sign. |
